Overview Amatsutsumi:
Amatsutsumi hero, Makoto, possesses the power of “kotodama” which allows one to control people with the power of one’s voice. Having an interest in the outside world, he leaves the hidden village he has lived in all his life. However, he found himself woefully unprepared and collapses on the side of the road in a small town almost as remote as his village. Just as he’s resigned himself to death, he’s saved by Oribe Kokoro, a girl whose family runs a cafe in that town. Using his kotodama powers, Makoto becomes a part of the Oribe family and begins attending school with Kokoro. He soon meets several girls who each have their own special circumstances. Will Makoto be able to use kotodama to help these girls? And what is the true nature of kotodama? This is a story of the words that weave the ties that bind… There are 40 achievements in this game which is a decent amount. The achievements also cover a nice array of story unlocked to specific action unlocked. This game often gives you choices how to handle a situation and there can be 2-3 choices.
Amatsutsumi Pre-Installed:
As for how it holds up in practice, there’s a lot of fun to be had, but there are many more solutions than there are problems. The first time through I felt pretty clever about some of the tricks I used, but afterwards I had a look at the forums and realized that every situation that had me stuck for a bit had about half a dozen other solutions that either I never considered, or involved some creature hidden in a part of the map I only discovered after it would have helped. Maybe this criticism boils down to me wanting more, but on the flip-side it never got repetitive. My first playthrough lasted around 5 hours. On a technical level I haven’t run into any notable issues. Your mileage may vary; check the demo if you’re unsure.
